The Mizrachi-Lapidot Women’s Education and Leadership program is the only advanced full-time women’s Beit Midrash for Torah studies in English in Eretz Yisrael.
The program is designed for Orthodox women who are deeply committed to avodat Hashem and desire to develop their scope and skills in Tanach, Talmud and Halacha studies for the future of Am Yisrael.
The program provides immersion in Torah Lishma, access to renowned Torah scholars and mentorship, and opportunities to hone pedagogic and leadership skills to become inspiring Torah educators and role models for the Jewish women of tomorrow.
Program Description
The Mizrachi-Lapidot Beit Midrash Program’s Academic year begins in Elul through Sivan.
Full-Time students choose between two intensive morning tracks: Talmud B’Iyun or Tanach B’Iyun. The afternoons in both tracks are devoted to Halacha B’Iyun and Machshava, fostering breadth alongside depth in Torah learning.
In addition fellows participate in a weekly Education Seminar designed to cultivate their pedagogical skills, intellectual sophistication, and personal sensitivity essential for outstanding Torah educators.
Throughout the year, students are expected to complete assessments on material studied and to deliver chaburot to their teachers and peers, developing both mastery of content and the ability to communicate Torah with clarity and confidence.
Beit Midrash fellows are invited to participate in leadership initiatives, professional training, and educational enrichment opportunities offered in partnership with Mizrachi, Tzemach David and Yeshiva University. These include Shabbatonim, tiyulim, and special programming for Roshei Chodesh and Chagim to develop a cohort of talmidot chachamot who will impact their broader communities.
The faculty of Mizrachi-Lapidot represents a unique convergence of profound Torah scholarship, pedagogic excellence, intellectual sophistication, and sensitive leadership. Composed of distinguished rabbanim, educators, and thinkers, our faculty embodies a model of Torah learning that is rigorous, inspiring, and profoundly relevant to contemporary religious life. The program is led by Rabbanit Shani Taragin, Educational Director and Rosh Beit Midrash.
