This week, Mizrachi was privileged to be a part of a coalition of religious organizations from across Israel who have decided to tackle the issue of prostitution (see below).

Rabbi Jonathan Sacks, in his commentary on the Yom Kippur prayers, explains why we read the portion about illicit relationships at the pinnacle of the holiest day of the year. 

When we left Egypt, we also left behind the Egyptian culture which was one filled with sexual immorality. 

It is our duty as the Jewish State to be an “or lagoyim” – a light unto the nations – and this is an important step to be just that.
