The family of terror victim Ezra Schwartz hy”d met President Reuven Rivlin yesterday in Jerusalem.
They came to Israel to attend several memorial services for Ezra, as well as seeing where he volunteered at the Oz VeGaon forest in Gush Etzion.
The President’s office posted a photo of the meeting, with the following note:
President Rivlin spoke about Ezra delivering care packages to soldiers, saying, “I was told he was one of the most outstanding volunteers in his organization. He is one of our sons and we will remember him forever.”
Ezra’s father, Ari Schwartz, told the President his son “was happy to be here in Israel, he was excited for this year.” President Rivlin expressed his condolences to the family saying, “The people in Israel and I are with you, and we are hoping and praying that you will know happier times.”
