
Shana Strauch Schick is a research fellow at The Center for Inter-disciplinary Research of the Cairo Genizah at Haifa University. In 2011, she became the first woman to be awarded a PhD in Talmudic Literature from Bernard Revel Graduate School at Yeshiva University where she also completed an MA in Bible. She has articles published in several academic journals and is completing her book Intention in the Babylonian Talmud: A Study in the Development of Rabbinic Jurisprudence. In addition to academic research, she completed and spent several additional years learning in the Graduate Program in Advanced Talmud at Yeshiva University. She teaches in learning institutions and midrashot in both Israel and abroad.
