
Nechama Porat is a teacher and spiritual leader. She lives in Bat Ayin, Gush Etzion with her husband and four children. Currently, Nechama teaches Talmud at the Yeshiva for women of Drisha, and at Havruta – the Beit Midrash of the Hebrew University. Before that, Nechama has spent three years in Shlichut by Torah Mitzion at the Berman Hebrew Academy community in Rockville, Maryland. Nechama had served as Rosh Midrasha, which includes teaching the highest level Talmud shiur to the 11th-12th grade girls and teaching classes in the Potomac, Rockville and Kemp Mill communities. Prior to coming to Washington, Nechama taught advanced Talmud in the Israeli program of Midreshet Lindenbaum for six years, and has studied Talmud, rabbinics and halachah at Lindenbaum, Nishmat, Migdal Oz and Michlelet Herzog in Israel.
