Born in the UK, I also lived in Israel and Australia before making Aliyah in 2000.

I hold a Jewish Studies degree from LSJS and studied at Yeshivat HaKibbutz HaDati, receiving Semicha from the Israeli Chief Rabbinate. I gained my teaching diploma at the Herzog Teachers’ Training College and also completed a course in kibbutz leadership.

With my family I spent five years on shlichut in Dallas, TX, at Akiba Academy, as a member of the Community Kollel of Dallas and Rav Shaliach of Bnei Akiva. The final two years I was the Director of Congregation Shaare Tefilla.

Upon returning, I served as a Jewish Cultural Facilitator in Jerusalem, part of the Yachad program, bringing a vibrant Judaism to Israeli Jews of all ages and backgrounds. Now as Director of Education in Ohr Torah Stone’s Straus-Amiel Institute, I train rabbis and educators for leadership positions throughout the Jewish world.

I have served as a chazzan in communities in Israel, Great Britain and the USA, and currently live with my wife Ayelet six children in Kibbutz Migdal Oz.

I aim to blend knowledge, a passion for teaching and a healthy dose of humour into sermons and lectures, positively impacting the community.
