Rav Netanel Elyashiv was born in Binghamton, New York, and grew up in Ra’anana, Israel. He studied at Yeshivot Merkaz HaRav and Har HaMor in Jerusalem and served a full army service as a sergeant in an IDF paratrooper unit.
Rav Elyashiv is a fruitful writer and publicist. He serves as CEO of the Binyan HaTorah publishing house and his articles have been published in leading Israeli websites and newspapers, such as Yediot Achronot. A senior teacher at the Bnei David pre-army Yeshiva, his book ‘Spiritual Advice for Combat Soldiers’ is a best-seller.
Rav Elyashiv holds a B.A. in Psychology and Education and an M.A. in Public Policy from the Tel-Aviv University. He is a member of the MAOZ leadership network.
Rav Elyashiv is a popular lecturer with Jews from all sectors, both religious and secular. Married to Noa and proud father of eight. The Elyashiv family resides in Eli (Shomron area) and they are active in hasbara efforts.
