Rabbi Sam Shor is the Program Director of the Orthodox Union’s Israel Center in Jerusalem, where he oversees a vast network of Torah classes, tours and social programming for Jerusalem’s Anglo community. He recently spearheaded the launch of JCHAT- the Jerusalem Community Hub for Anglos and Torah, a new OU initiative which is focused on creating a community for young professionals in Jerusalem. 

For the past two decades, Rabbi Shor has gained acclaim for his inspirational teaching, his work in adult education and as a mentor for young rabbis across the globe.

Prior to his Aliya to Israel, “Rabbi Sam” was a popular teacher in the New York Metropolitan area, and he has been invited to communities across North America as a Scholar-in- Residence. 

Introducing students to many of the fundamental works of Jewish ethics, morality and spirituality, Rabbi Sam’s talent lies in allowing Jewish adults of all backgrounds to access, explore, and be inspired by a wide variety of our sacred texts. Rabbi Shor lives with his family in Jerusalem’s Katamon neighborhood where he is a popular Torah teacher for the English speaking community.
