Rav David Stav and Rav Mosheh Lichtenstein spoke to over 30 Rabbis and Rebbetzins on Monday at the Mizrachi UK Rabbinic Conference.
Rav Mosheh spoke about the role of a Religious Zionist rabbi in the wider community and Rav Stav spoke to the Rabbis and Rebbetzins about the importance of engaging with every member of the community irrespective of religiosity.
Rabbi Chaim Kanterovitz chair of the Mizrachi UK rabbinical council commented that “the ideas that were shared from both the guest Rabbis were thought provoking and inspirational. It was an exciting first step to bring the leading minds of the State of Israel over to educate both the wider community as well as a wide spectrum of the leaders of our community here in the UK.”
World Mizrachi’s Chief Executive Rav Doron Perez said: “The Mizrachi UK Rabbinic Conference was part of the process of re-energising a strong Religious Zionist/Modern Orthodox movement driven by Mizrachi in the UK, bringing so many rabbis together for discussion about meaningful issues facing the Jewish People. At the Conference, there was a real feeling of being a part of something historic. Many leading rabbis were able to come together in a forum and environment of like-minded people, and think together of a broad strategy and synergy for British Jewry. It was really special. ”
