Lone Soldier Making a Siyum

Wow.

This amazing photo has been shared on Facebook over the past few days.

It’s of a lone soldier, a graduate of the Yeshivat Hesder, Yeshivat Hakotel, Kobi Greenfield from Skokie, Illinois, making a Siyum of Masechet Megilla.

The photo shows a group of soldiers gathered in a tent, after dark, still in uniform, listening to Kobi complete the tractate of Gemara.

On Facebook, someone commented: “A young man, lone soldier, in the army (and Yeshivat Hakotel grad), makng a siyum in the army. This is so beautiful. The best way to remember what we are all doing here.”
