During the Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry’s visit to Israel, something quite unusual occurred.
For the first time in 9 years, the Egyptian Foreign Minister visited Israel, including lengthy meetings with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
However, as the Prime Minister revealed on his Facebook page, they did manage to find a few moments to set aside their working commitments and watch some of the final of the Euro 2016 football tournament between the hosts France and Portugal.
Netanyahu writes:
This evening my wife Sara and I hosted Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry in our home in Jerusalem. He arrived today for a visit to Israel. When our meeting ended, we had time to watch the Euro 2016 final.
We were not informed, however, whether the Prime Minster and his honoured guest were rooting for France or eventual winners Portugal!
