David Friedman, the new US Ambassador to Israel, arrived this week to take up his new post and took himself to the Kotel.
Standing in front of the Kotel, he told the press that he prayed for the welfare of his family, President Trump and that he had made the Shehecheyanu blessing to thank Hashem for everything He has done for him.
He then met with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who thanked Friedman for his visit to the Kotel and pointedly welcomed him to “Jerusalem, our eternal capital”.
