Last Friday, thousands of people from Israel and all over the world descended on the capital to run in the annual Jerusalem Marathon.

There were options to run shorter races of 2km, 5km, 10km and a half marathon through the streets of Jerusalem.

Thousands more still came to cheer on the athletes as they enjoyed a sunny, spring day, trekking up and down the hills of Jerusalem.

A really cool video was made by Simcha Jessel of the marathon route – with great views, and a unique perspective of the day.
