The wounded IDF captain, Ziv Shilon, shared an amazing moment this week.
3 years ago, Ziv was on patrol near the border with Gaza when he was struck by an explosive device and lost one of his hands.
He said the following: “That sublime feeling when you become a father is something I have never felt before in my life. “The understanding that even at this crazy, chaotic time with all terror attacks, I as an IDF soldier, a wounded commander, have merited to carry on the lineage of the Jewish people.”
He also posted the following on his Facebook page:
“There are no words to describe the joy, excitement and intensity. Precisely at such times, in the most symbolic way, we completed the greatest victory possible!!
So just thank you:
G-d
My wife the heroine!
The wonderful staff of the Soroka Hospital, who 3 years ago gave me life and now also to my daughter!
And especially members of the security forces that allow us to raise our children in the Holy Land!”
אין מילים לתאר את האושר, ההתרגשות והעוצמה. דווקא בזמנים כאלה, בצורה הכי סימבולית השלמנו את הניצחון הכי ענק שאפשר!!!!!א…
